Why Virtualize A Machine in DFIR Investigations?

Investigators face a maze of digital evidence—locked systems, fragile data, and legal risks. Discover how virtualizing an environment offers a unique perspective on the suspect's system, all without altering the original device & data. This enables investigators to deliver faster case results, preserve evidence integrity, and sidestep forensic dead ends.

In this session, we'll explore how to forensically virtualize a suspect machine, triage important data quickly, and present findings in a way that juries and non-investigators will understand using VFC, the perfect tool to enhance an investigation in the field and in the lab. Attendees will also see an exclusive sneak preview of MD5's soon-to-be released VF-A software to virtualize mobile devices.

Blessed Chiwara is a Sales and Business Development professional at MD5 Ltd, where he’s been working since December 2024. He focuses on supporting sales and marketing efforts to help drive company growth.

Streamline and Scale Your Mobile Workflows

The volume of mobile devices that need to be extracted and processed for criminal investigations today present a persistent and increasing challenge for digital forensics labs. Most labs are faced with massive mobile device backlogs, delaying time to evidence and risking the loss of critical time-sensitive insights that can make the difference in their cases while also causing significant stress for lab staff.

Join Magnet Forensics’ Chad Gish and Jeff Rutherford for a discussion on mobile investigation best practices and hear how you can leverage Magnet Forensics mobile solutions to banish your backlogs, improve officer wellness, and serve justice more swiftly.
